How accurate are the calorie estimates?
FoodLens uses Google Gemini AI to estimate calories and macros from photos. Accuracy depends on photo quality and food visibility. Results are estimates and should not be used as a substitute for professional dietary advice.
What types of food are supported?
FoodLens can analyze most common foods including restaurant meals, home-cooked dishes, packaged snacks, fruits, vegetables, and beverages. It works best with clearly visible food items.
Does it work with homemade meals?
Yes! FoodLens can analyze homemade meals. For best accuracy, photograph the entire plate so the AI can identify individual ingredients and estimate portions.
Are my food photos stored or shared?
No. Photos are sent to our AI service for analysis and are not stored on our servers after the result is returned. All processing is done in real-time.
Is there a daily limit for scans?
Yes, to ensure service quality, there is a daily limit of 50 scans per device. The limit resets every 24 hours.
Can I get a refund?
Refunds are handled by Apple. Go to Settings > Apple ID > Purchase History on your device, or contact Apple Support directly.
